Why Donate Towards UK Based Projects?
UK-based projects help local communities and help those who are in need in the very country that we live in. As well as raising money for charity projects in the UK, we try to allocate some part of our general fund to the projects which will make big difference to our towns and cities.
As the famous saying: “charity begins at home” we intend to keep this saying in mind and supported a range of charity projects in the UK.
Sometimes, many of the more comfortable ones living in our modern and developed country, often forget what it’s like in other parts of the world. However, we must not forget that many people in the UK also face struggles as well. Whether it is homelessness, hunger, no job opportunity or through substance addiction, these problems are also present in modern-day Britain.
Statista
As of 2020, around 11.7 million people in the UK were living in relative poverty, with that number increasing to almost 14.5 million when housing costs are considered.
How You Can Make A Difference
Help the Homeless
Donate NowOfficial Government figures from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities show that a total of 277 Sheffield households were threatened with homelessness within 56 days between January and March 2022, compared with 81 during the same period in 2021, representing an increase of 242 per cent. Sheffield saw the fifth biggest increase in England, we are working with the homeless to provide food, water and clothing once a month.
Currently, we are dealing with 150 homeless people on a continuous basis. So many rely on us and these handouts each month.
Smile’s Project - For Ill Children
Donate NowOver 60,000 children in the UK have been diagnosed with a critical condition, changing their lives and the lives of their families forever. For them, the joy of childhood is brought to an abrupt end, with treatment plans, hospital visits and sleepless nights taking over.
Our “Smile’s Project” has been going strong since 2020, whereby we grant terminally ill and mentality challenged children a wish for a toy. It brings light and joy to children and their loved ones and leaves a profound and lasting impact on all their lives.
Food Bank Projects
Donate NowWe’re all aware of the impact of the cost of living crisis, and that many people are struggling right now to afford to put food on the table. According to the Trussell Trust, food banks are seeing record-breaking levels of need, with almost 1.3 million emergency parcels being given out in just over six months. A huge 320,000 people have turned to food banks for the first time, and more donations are needed to cover the demand.
We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in Sheffield they are.
